Bright Spiral Treatment Menu
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a floor-based, Japanese bodywork technique which employs applied pressure and assisted stretching to assess and treat the total system of the individual. Fluidly combining assessment and treatment, this modality moves energy along the meridian channels to promote a harmonious state of inner and outer balance. Shiatsu promotes the prevention and recovery from illness by stimulating the immune system and natural, innate healing capacity of the client.

Cranial Sacral Therapy
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of body-work that influences the brain and spinal cord, and emphasizes the relationship between attitude, injury, and healing. A holistic healing practice that uses light touch to balance the cranial sacral system (which includes bones, nerves, fluids, and connective tissue of the cranium, spine, and sacrum), CST is both gentle and profound. Somato-emotional release techniques may be employed to assist the client in completing the release of physical or emotional trauma initiated during treatment.

Meridian/ Therapeutic Swedish Massage
Julie’s unique blend of Therapeutic Swedish and Meridian Massage integrates East and West in a bodywork protocol that uses classic massage strokes focused on acu-meridian channels and acupoint holds. This modality, which provides all of the benefits of traditional Swedish massage, also addresses the subtle energy body and qi flow within the individual for a truly restorative and revitalizing experience.

Reiki
Reiki, an ancient yet simple form of energy work, is an ideal treatment for a range of imbalances, stress-reduction and relaxation. Harmonizing body, mind and spirit, Reiki addresses areas of disruption or blockage in the client’s system in order to restore energy flow and health to the affected area. The practitioner simply acts as a conduit for the energy, while providing a safe and supportive environment for the healing to occur.

Acutonics©
Acutonics© is an integrative and harmonic approach to health and healing. The Acutonics Healing System© uses precision-calibrated tuning forks applied to specific acupoints to access the energy systems of the body. The resonance of these forks brings the systems and frequencies of the body into true alignment. Using vibration instead of needles or pressure accesses all levels of being and wellness potential, facilitating reconnection with self and the natural world. Acutonics© is powerful both as an independent modality and a perfect adjunct to other therapies.

Integrative Nutrition/ Lifestyle Consultation
Integrating the philosophies of "food as medicine", mindful awareness, and inner guidance, Julie offers a unique and interactive alternative to conventional nutrition ideologies. Client health issues and needs are identified using Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and Zen Shiatsu palpation skills.

A thorough intake and interview process culminates in client-specific nutrition assessment and lifestyle recommendations that are life-affirming, health promoting, and socially/ ecologically responsible.

Each plan includes food preparation tips, recipes, and suggestions for further reading, to support clients on their journey along "the middle path".

From Julie’s clients:
“Through whole foods, nutritional counseling, and body-work with Julie, I have experienced increased energy and am able to maintain a healthy weight.”
-Amy A. Cooley, M.D.

"I've had one introduction and two full sessions with Julie, one on the table and one on the mat. She is a gem; professional, knowledgeable, considerate, and vibrant. I highly recommend her as a body worker/healer. I find her technique equal parts nurturing and thoughtful."
--Cynthia Woodring, Yoga Teacher

"Organic farming is hard work, which takes a toll on my body everyday. Fortunately last season Julie took me
on as a weekly client. She is quite talented, has a good sense of intuition, and incorporates other healing work into a comprehensive and complete session. I left after each session feeling renewed and invigorated. My only problem is that she moved and I have yet to find someone that can replace her healing work."
-Christophe Olsen, Organic Farmer, Garberville, CA

"Julie Aitcheson imbues her work with creative insight and experience. She provides superb integrative health counseling that is uniquely adapted to her clients' needs. I highly recommend her."
--Paul Pitchford, author of Healing with Whole Foods

“The subtle information that I have received from Julie's somatic therapy has been deep and transformational. As a client, I appreciate Julie's ability be both present in the moment of the treatment as well as to address more mundane matters. Julie's significant training and her truly non-judgmental manner are a terrific combination.”
